Nice to meet you!
I’m Stan Olszewski—a 6’7” portrait photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I specialize in creating headshots and portraits that feel effortless, human, and polished. For the past 15+ years, I’ve helped individuals, businesses, and editorial clients show up authentically and confidently.
Before I was photographing executives and entrepreneurs, I was a full-time daily newspaper photojournalist. That experience taught me how to read light, anticipate moments, and connect quickly with people from all walks of life. I learned how to work efficiently, stay calm under pressure, and make meaningful images on the fly.
Now, I bring that same journalistic eye to my portrait work—only slower, more intentional, and built around you. Whether I’m photographing a CEO, a small business owner, or an entire company team, I focus on making people feel comfortable, seen, and confident in front of the camera.
Clients often say I have a calm and grounded presence that immediately puts them at ease. Behind the camera, I’m laid-back but laser-focused: I’ll notice the way a blazer falls, a stray hair, a subtle expression shift. It’s those details that make the difference between an okay photo—and one that truly reflects who you are.
When I’m not photographing headshots or branding sessions, I’m often working with newspapers and magazines, creating editorial portraits that tell visual stories of founders, artists, and leaders doing remarkable work.
Wherever you are in your story, I’d love to help you tell it—with honest, intentional photographs that show the best version of you.
